Harbour Avocats advised Magillem Design Services on the sale of its activities to Arteris IP.

Harbour Avocats, under the responsibility of Gilles de Poix, M&A partner, advised Magillem Design Services, a Paris-based publisher of CAD software specialising in microelectronics and SoC design, in the sale of its activities to Arteris IP, a Californian supplier of silicon intellectual property (IP) blocks for network-on-chip circuits.

The transaction, which was finalised at the end of November 2020, amounted to $8 million.

Founded in 2006, Magillem has been listed on the Euronext Paris market since 2009 and its customers include Nokia, Samsung, Renesas, NXP, STMicroelectronics, Texas Instruments, Thales, Bosch, Rockwell and Medtronic. In its 2019-2020 financial year, its turnover reached 10 million dollars, 94% of which was generated by exports.

Magillem has 51 employees in France, including 45 engineers and PhDs in R&D, and 12 employees in other regions of the world.
